Reiki I You will learn a history of Reiki, body
scanning techniques, treatments, traditional hand positions related to the chakras,
and guidelines for working with others. In this
first course, you will begin your personal healing and empowerment journey by
receiving the four level I attunements. You will be opened to use Reiki's healing energy on
yourself and others, using your skills with supervised practical experience in class. Your

three to six months later, in the second course, you will receive the two level II attunements and continue
into the mental and emotional planes of Reiki. You will begin to learn the Usui Reiki symbols
and how each one works specifically. You will experience and practice advanced

Reiki III:
Reiki Master Practitioner and Reiki Master Teacher By invitation only, these courses bring you into the full growth of Reiki and begin the process of acceptance and integration
of your shadow selves. The Reiki Master Practitioner level student will be
attuned to the master level symbols and learn to work with them. The Master
Teacher level student will learn about teaching Reiki, allowing them to take on
students and to pass the attunements to others. Two one-day courses.
Karuna
Reiki
Open to Usui Reiki Master Teachers, this course
enhances the practitioner with an additional set of Reiki symbols. You will
learn each symbol, feel its unique vibration, and practice using each new tool.

This workshop focuses on contact with our ancestors through
journeywork so that each participant can develop a "tribal history,"
giving a unique window into our individual shamanic heritage.
Shamanic
peoples recognize ancestors as essential connections to Spirit who provide
potent guidance. Ancestor work forms an integral part of shamanism in
indigenous cultures. It is excellent for individuals who wish to advance their
own healing, and compliments the primary skills of professional healers of any
discipline. A major goal of the work is to open the student to the shamanic
realms and to help her/him to use these connections in daily life.
Learn to: Work with your ancestors for personal healing Resolve family issues Discover plant and animal spirit energies of your
lineages Understand ancient rituals and ceremonies
Requirements: This evening and two-day workshop requires shamanic
journeying experience. You are NOT required to know your ancestry or family lineage. You should be familiar with upper and lower world
journeywork and have established shamanic contacts. [Shamanic Fundamentals
Class coming again in March 2008] Those with Foundation for Shamanic Studies
basic training and others will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Please bring drums or rattles if you have them, an eye
covering if you like, and a journal or notebook.
Comfortable clothing and a blanket and/or pillow are
recommended, since participants will usually journey lying down.
Instructor Bios: CROW SWIMSAWAY, Ph.D., is an
experientially based , academically trained shamanic practitioner and teacher,
and an artist, activist and ritualist, expressing through his ministry with the
Church of Earth Healing, founded in 1990. He has taught shamanism with Bekki
since 1982 at universities, conferences, religious institutions, festivals and
gatherings throughout the Midwest and Eastern U.S., and Britain. Crow's degrees
(Chicago and London School of Economics at London University) and publications
are in Social and Cultural Anthropology. He has traveled and studied
extensively in the U.S., Mexico, Europe and the Far East.
BEKKI SHINING BEARHEART is an
intuitive who has been guided by her relationship with Mother Earth since age
2. She has been a student of metaphysics since age 14, including Astrology,
Tarot and various methods of healing. In 1980 she met and married Crow,
continuing to explore spiritual realms via earth religions and shamanism. Her
degrees are in Art and Art Education; she continues a lifelong involvement in
the arts, by crafting, and teaching others to craft, shamanic tools and music.
She is also a licensed massage therapist specializing in Structural Therapy.
With Crow she is a minister of the Church of Earth Healing, based near Athens,
Ohio.
